Kephart Continues Fight to Save Prisons

HARRISBURG – State Rep. Dallas Kephart (R-Cambria/Clearfield) today expressed his ongoing commitment to saving Quehanna Boot Camp. Kephart brought the issue to a vote in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives.   

“This week in Harrisburg, I spoke on two amendments to House Bill 561,” Kephart said. “The amendments would have kept Quehanna and SCI-Rockview open for at least 10 more years. Unfortunately, these amendments were blocked. Quehanna is an effective criminal justice center, and I remain committed to doing what I can to save it.” 

The House voted 102-101 to block Amendments A00628 introduced by Kephart to save the Quehanna Boot Camp and A00695 which would have saved SCI-Rockview.
