Kephart, Langerholc Announce More Than $1.8 Million in Infrastructure Funding

HARRISBURG – Today, state Rep. Dallas Kephart (R-Cambria/Clearfield) and Sen. Wayne Langerholc, Jr. (R-35) announced grant funding in the 73rd Legislative District released by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) totaling more than $1.8 million. The CFA released two sets of grants: Small Water and Sewer (SWS), and Multimodal Transportation Fund (MTF).
“I am proud to have worked with local officials and Sen. Langerholc to deliver this critical funding to our district,” said Kephart. “These grants are a significant investment in developing the infrastructure of our community for public health and safety on our roads.”
“These grants will improve our water and sewer systems and deliver meaningful roadway improvements, from repaving projects to reconstruction of existing bridges,” Langerholc said. “I am happy to help fund these projects with Rep. Kephart that enhance public safety and lay the groundwork for long-term growth.”
Grants awarded in the 73rd Legislative District:
• Bradford Township received an MTF grant of over $328,000 to replace a culvert on and widen Orchard Road.
• Clearfield Borough received an MTF grant of over $80,000 to pave Healy Avenue and Water and Locust streets.
• Cooper Township Municipal Authority received an SWS grant of over $341,000 for fire hydrant installation.
• Gulich Township received an MTF grant of $50,000 to repave Walnut Street.
• Hastings Municipal Authority received an SWS grant of over $241,000 for an ozone generation system replacement.
• Lawrence Township received an MTF grant of $230,000 for a paving project on Turnpike Avenue.
• Muddy Run Regional Authority received an SWS grant of $332,000 for rehabilitation of the Madera Treatment Plant.
• Osceola Mills Borough received an MTF grant of $100,000 for roadway improvements on Curtin Street.
• Ramey Borough received an MTF grant of over $149,000 to repair Railroad, Durbin and Market streets.
